About TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist
KOOKS CO.,LTD. was established in November 1996 and launched "NUMBER (N) INE". After working as a buyer for Nepenthes Corporation, he became independent and established KOOKS CO.,LTD. in November 1996, launching "NUMBER (N)INE." He participated in the Tokyo Collections from the 2001 Fall-Winter season and Paris Fashion Week from the 2004 Fall-Winter season.
On February 20, 2009, NUMBER (N)INE announced its departure and dissolution at the end of the 2009 Fall-Winter season.
In July 2010, he restarted as a designer. He presented the 2010 Winter collection of "TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist." in an exhibition format. On September 9, 2011, he opened the first "grocerystore." (now renamed "TakahiromiyashitatheSoloist.AOYAMA") in Aoyama, Tokyo.
In the Spring/Summer 2018 season, he presented his first runway show as TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. in Tokyo, and in January 2018, he was selected as the main guest designer for the 93rd Pitti Immagine Uomo, where he held a joint show with UNDERCOVER in Florence. A joint show for the Fall/Winter 2018 collection was held.

Typically revered for its garment design, TAKAHIROMIYASHITAThe Soloist. has shifted its gaze ever so slightly in the direction of sound technology with its ‘Sounds’ speaker.
Approaching the project with the same tenacity as its apparel offering, the ‘Sounds’ is a high-performance sculptural speaker that marries both impeccable form and function. Taking the form of a 110cm polycarbonate resin tower, with some parts encased and others crumbling away, there are seven different-sized speakers located which offer an ultra-high 2000W output.
